They Know Not What They Do

I was very offended recenly wherein several local Muslims decided that the anniversary of 9-11 was an appropriate time to profess their position that the acts of extremist Muslims are not representative of their Muslim faith and that Islam is a religion of peace, by publishing such in a local newspaper.

There are more than 40 recognized and organized religions in the world, and to the best of my knowledge, Islam is the only one that condones deception (lying) and violence (including murder) against those who do not accept that faith and its teachings.  It is certainly not a religion of freedom, because speaking against Muhammad or having a Bible in one's possession is outlawed in Muslim-dominated countries and has resulted in many Christians being kidnapped and beheaded simply for being American or Christian.

There are two forms of lying that the Quran permits under certain circumstances. Taiyuan, which is saying something that is blatantly not true, and kitman, which is lying by omission. These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them. Yet, you ask for us to be tolerant, understanding, forgiving, accepting and believe you when you say that Islam is not what the history of your faith has shown.  The actual radio transmission from Flight 93 by the hijackers, in which they told their doomed passengers that there was "a bomb on board" but that everyone would "be safe" as long as "their demands were met" was a bold face lie in order to discourage the passengers from attempting to stop their barbaric plan.

To Muslims, anyone who is not Muslim is an unbeliever, and unbelievers who will not agree to convert to Islam are "infidels."  Here are a few excerpts from the Quran directing how Muslims can deal with unbelievers.  (Quran 2:191)"Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers."   (Quran 9:5) "Slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush." (Quran 47:4)"Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks (beheading) until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens..."

In short, Muslims have no reservations about lying to non-Muslims.  It's easy to verbally divorce yourself from those you call "extremists" or "radicals," but the truth of the matter is, these terrorists acts all over the planet are basically being perpetrated by Muslims.  Muslims are plotting and killing totally unaware and innocent non-Muslims in ever increasing numbers.  This is the faith you are now trying to say is peace loving and not violent.  The very fact that America was established on the principles of freedom and the Christian faith is what has allowed you to come to this country and still practice, and profess, your faith without persecution.  The freedom to choose is the very basis of Christianity and America.  Christians choose their faith and its teachings through love, not the threat of death, as is the case in the homelands of Islam.   Islam's direction and goal is to either convert the entire world to Islam or kill those who would refuse.  The multiple indiscriminate bombings all over the world, and the attack on the Twin Towers only confirms Islam's willingness to commit mass murder in the name of Allah.

Excluding all the kidnappings, beheadings, and attacks against Americans outside the USA, such as the attack on U.S. Navy ship Cole, the bombings of American Embassies and the killing of both Civilian and Military Americans in other parts of the world;  there have been more than 60 documented attacks right here in the United States alone, beginning as far back as the 60's, which were Muslim inspired.  Simply Google "Muslim Attacks on America to read of the hundreds upon hundreds of Muslim attacks throughout the world.  There are even documented murderous attacks of Muslims on Muslims and their own family members for various transgressions against the faith or Muhammad.  The Muslim history of violence and terrorism is an indisputable fact.

So, during this 10th anniversary year of the 9-11 tragedy and attack on America, I still feel the pain and hear the cries of the near 3,000 innocent victims and their families as the result of the deliberate, planned, and inspired attack on the Twin Towers by members of the Muslim faith.  Your request for compassion and understanding is overshadowed by the very history of your Islamic faith and the many attacks on innocent people all over the world.   Not to mention your bad timing in professing your innocence during this tenth year memorial of the 9-11 tragedy.

As a Christian, I will pray for you Muslims before my God.  And in the same breath, ask Him to help me find forgiveness in my heart for the things they do in the name of their religion.  Because in Jesus's very own words from the cross, "They (You) know not what you do."  However, your profession that Islam is a peaceful religion and that I have no reason to be skeptical or wary falls into your Quran's approval of Taiyuan. (Telling non-Muslims that which is blatantly not true.)  The actions of your brothers in Islam have, and are still, speaking more loudly than you.  Wolves in sheep's clothing are still wolves.  Muslims are known by their actions, not words.
